News Item: Kecskemet branch changes
Displaying 1 - 1 of 1 -- Add News
I was recently in Kecskemet a week after the branch presidency changed. Kovacs Istvan became the new branch president after Furko Janos, who served as branch president for five years. Janos seemed a little lost with no duties on Sunday and Istvan seemed a little overwhelmed with many new duties, but I was very proud to see such a strong, easy transition. For some reason it was just exciting to see things work the way they are supposed to.
President Peterson also reported in Sacrament Meeting that there is an active search to acquire land for a building in Kecskemet. I was told by the branch leaders that they are currently looking at a piece of land by the hospital to the east of Szechenyivaros. That was back in January, so there is probably more current information now.
