President Brown's Obituary 03 Sep 2008
Wilburn James Brown
Wilburn James Brown Age 75 Passed away quietly at his home Aug. 27, 2008. He is survived by his wife, Jeannette, two of his three children, Garth Brown (Suzie Crandell), Danae Homer, deceased, (Jeff Homer) and Leisel Nichols (Leon Nichols), 18 of his 19 grandchildren. He gave a lifetime of service to others in the LDS Church as a Bishop, Stake President, and Mission President in Pocatello, Idaho (1997-2000). Civically, he served as Mayor of Gilbert, Arizona; Chairman of the Maricopa Association of Governments, and as the Chairman of the Williams Gateway Airport Authority. He retired from First Interstate Bank of Arizona in 1991 as a Senior Vice President where he also served as Chairman of the Cash Management Council for Western Bancorp. Most notable is the constant unsolicited service he gave to family, friends, and neighbors. Services will be held Sat., August 30, 2008 at 11:30 am in the American Fork Eleventh Ward Chapel, 240 South Center Street, American Fork, where friends may call for a viewing one hour prior to services. Interment will follow the services at the American Fork City Cemetery under the direction of Olpin Family Mortuary, Pleasant Grove
