| http://www.woolfeyecare.com | | | Presidents: Keith Barber (1978 - 1981) | | Served: 1978 - 1979 | | Language(s) spoken:Korean | Areas Served: Korean Branch | | Your Occupation: Optometrist | | Spouse: Trudy | Comments: I was transferred from the Korea Pusan Mission for the last 6 months of my mission. I served in Chicago from October, 1978 to May, 1979.
I served with Elder John Hydrick and Elder Mark Richards.
We were assigned to the Spanish zone. Probably because they didn't know where else to put us. ha.
My time in Chicago was a growing time for me. Although, at first, I was not happy about being transferred from Korea to Chicago; I now know that I have been blessed because of my willingness to serve wherever the Lord calls. It was a humbling experience and I learned to love the people I served with. I wish that I had been able to meet more people in the mission. I did come to love President and Sister Barber.
After returning home, I graduated from Arizona State University with a B.S. in Business Administration. In 1982, I married Trudy Klepinger. At the age of 30, with a wife and two children, I decided to return to Optometry School. I graduated from the Southern California College of Optometry in 1993. We then moved back to Arizona and have been in private practice every since. We now have 4 wonderful children, two boys and two girls; ages 22, 20, 14 and 12. Our oldest son served in the Argenina Buenos Aires North Misssion; is now at BYU and teaches at the MTC.
We have been blessed have served in many calling in our wards and stakes. I have been humbled by every calling and I am greatful for the blessings that come from serving.
I would enjoy getting reacquainted with anyone that remembers me. |
