Comments:
My service in Nauvoo was the best two years of my eternity so far! I loved gaining even greater testimonies of the Lord Jesus Christ, and I came to know and love Joseph and the early saints who gave their all to help bring about the Restoration. My most meaningful spiritual experiences were in the Nauvoo Temple, at the pageant, and while serving in Carthage, at the homes of Brigham Young and Lucy Mack Smith, in Land & Records (where this photo was taken), while narrating on the Wagon, and in the choir. It was really fun to play Charity in Sunset, and to act as a greeter and the relief society president in Rendezvous in Old Nauvoo. I loved serving with the single sisters and the senior couples, but the young sister missionaries, young performing missionaries and horses stole my heart! I'll never quit counting my blessings for the privilege of serving under both Presidents Lewis and Ludwig and their wonderful wives, and the joy of renewing eternal friendships with visitors, site and temple missionaries, and residents of Nauvoo. President and Sister Peterson (Temple) and Sister Davis added extra delight to my time in the City of Joseph.
