CLEAN WATER PROJECT
Ampel, Boyolali, Solo
The project covers four villages with totals population over 27,000 people. It has the total of about 14 miles of PVC pipe line. The source of water in located on the hill of Merbabu mountain, one of the sleeping volcano in Central Java. The community contribute labor for thisd project. So far over 1,000 men and women have worked in the project. There are 7 returned missionaries work at the project. The workers start their work with pray, some pray in Moslem way some in Mormon way. It is the real faith bridge building project.
The village chief commented, ”This water will benefit Ngadirojo and its surrounding villages. My hope that the resources being used to houl water in the past will be used to some other productive income.” Thank you Latter-Day Saints Charities.
Community leader commented,”It has been years I waited for this clean water pipeline from government but it never come and now being realized from a different organization which is Church foundation. Even though through a Church Foundation, it will bless the life of our people”
Margiyo, neighborhood chief (ketua RW dari desa Sampetan), ”LDSC has been generous to us. We thank them for their kindness. When the water finally running, we can use our energy to work in our farm and this will improve our life”
