| Comments: After I got home, I got work, married Elder Dan Holt's sister, Melanie, and then went to school for 7 years(almost finished HCA then changed to BBA and finished-that's why it took so long) --working part time. My last semester in the BBA program I went into a severe bi-polar attack -I graduated, but since then all I have done is try to get my psychological issues under control. I have tried therapy, prayer, blessings, medication, and much else, but I am still plagued by bi-polar, obsessive compulsive disorder, PTSD, anxiety, borderline personality disorder, and gender identity disorder. I have been promised in blessings that I will be able to resolve all these issues and get back to my life, but that it would be a long process, full of learning and growing opportunities. I have 2 children: a 9-year old boy, and a 7-year old girl. The boy was born 9 weeks early and has autistic troubles, and non-verbal learning disorder, and many other problems. To any others who might be struggling, hold on, don't give up or give in to the temptation to quit or abandon the Lord. Holding on to our faith in Jesus Christ is the only way to come off conquerer. During one of my bi-polar attacks, I destroyed all journals, pictures, and keep-sakes from Ireland. So I have a hard time remembering much about the mission other than feelings, and fleeting images and names. | |
