For any of you who knew Bishop Hayter of the Portadown ward, I wanted everyone to know that he passed away I believe last month. He was a very caring and loving man. From what I hear Mena (his wife) is not doing too well with it. Lets remember her in our prayers. Thanks

Just to clear up any confusion. The Dublin Reunion is in Sept. 2005
So that will give you plenty of time to get ready!
|

We have added Contact information on the reunion web page and should have a 7 day rental car B&B package on there as well. I have asked the travel agent to get prices on rail passes, golf and fishing tours. We will add them as we get them.

Last week I posted a message about a get together at the Crowther's house--only I did it too late, so it got posted after the fact! (It was for the 18th). Then I tried to post a correction--but obviously that didn't go through for some reason. I'm sorry to have led you all on like that . . . I've heard from a few of you who were interested in going, and I'm sure the Crowthers would love to see any of you (it was a real nice visit even though there were only a handful of us) if any of you want to plan a less spontaneous get together for another time...

I served in Shannon before going home in 9/79, and was in Limerick alot. I'm not sure what happened to them, but there's a new missionary here in Washington DC South mission named Elder Elder (not a typo) and I'll ask him if he knows them and their status.
|
| |
|
Does anyone know what ever happened to John and Geraldine Miller? They were baptized in Limerick in 1979, if I recall correctly.

Hey,
For those of you who remember Ballymun "The Towers" and seen such movies as "Into the west" well tonight 6pm irish time they are getting knocked down. In true Irish style the city is holding a "wake" party style of course, in memory of all those people......ehhhhh "the ones who were thrown off..or jumped from the balconys" okkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk. I do not lie. So maybe have a moments silence as you sip your decaff Guinness... ..mmmmmmmmmm.

We want to thank everyone who contributed or helped in making the 1901 Irish Census Project successful. A check for $6200 was given to President Fagan, Ireland Dublin Stake President and President Brighton, mission president in May. Because of the generosity of all the returned missionaries we were also able to give President Noble, the Belfast Northern Ireland Stake President a check for $2000 for their family history library. THANKS AGAIN FOR YOUR HELP AND SUPPORT

We now have the details for the IDM-Crowther reunion 2nd April 2004. The reunion will be held at the Bluffdale Church house on 15000 So. and 2400 W. It is the same church we met at July 2001. The reunion will start at 6:30pm through 8:30pm. The easiest way to get to the church will be to get off the I-15 Bangerter exit and go west. Turn South at Redwood Road (1700 W.) and go to 15000 So. and turn West. Go until you see the church on the left side of the road. We would invite you to bring finger food to share or drinks. We are excited to have the opportunity to met with all of you again. Please come! We send our love, Bob and Brenda Crowther
We thought we would give you an update of our family. Brett was married over a year ago to a girl from Virginia. Brett met her at USU. They just had a baby boy, Dannon, the 9th of December 2003. They live in Mendon a town west of Logan. They are doing well. Brandt will be home from his mission in August 2004. He is serving in the New York South Mission. He loves the work and still enjoys having fun. We have six of our eight children married now. We have 16 grandchildren with two more on the way this Spring. We are both healthy and enjoying life. Together we are teaching Institute classes for the married students. We are enjoying serving in the Church also. We look forward to seeing you.

My wife and I plan on attending. It will be my first time back and I'm looking forward to it. I'm hoping for 2 weeks but time and work will determine the amount of time I get to spend with the wonderful Saints of Ireland.
