| Whilst serving as junior companion to Elder D.Crawford in Banbridge we had the oppertunity to go on exchanges with the assistants. My companion for the day was Elder D.Searle. Times were rough at the time in the mission, we had a book of mormon shortage, and so we were in an area following up on some placements we'd made in the last while, collecting the books where there was no interest in reading. We'd collected a couple of books and decided to leave for another area, when all of a sudden I felt we'd missed someone!! that we needed to turn around, I felt stupid being junior companion, I mean he was the assistant, what did I know!!! I decided to make it known to him my impression and he took me seriously!! we stoped turned about,I remember at this point feeling really stupid but walking back the way we'd came we noticed a street we'd missed, and headed up it. We knew the door when we saw it , knocked and proceeded to teach him the gospel. It was a beautifull experience we shared that night that taught me a lot about the Lords hand in the work. |
