Meet President Roy Isamu Tsuya

 

 

 

 

 

President Roy Isamu Tsuya was born in Lihue, Hawaii, a son of Itsuta and Kinu Yoshinaka Tsuya. He is a convert to the Church and was baptized Nov. 16, 1941, in Kapaa, Hawaii. He married Wuta Terazawa on Nov. 4, 1943 in the Salt Lake Temple. They have five children. He received a business degree from LDS Business College and he is employed at Deseret Book Co. He  is one of the two "fathers" of the Dai Ichi  (Japanese-speaking) Branch which currently meets at the Granite Stake Tabernacle (in Sugarhouse), Salt Lake Liberty Stake, Sunday School superintendent, YMMIA president, military group leader, deacons, teachers and priests quorum adviser, seventies quorum president's counselor, branch president's counseIor and branch president.  President Tsuya and his wife also served as the Tokyo MTC president and matron following their service over the Fukuoka Mission.

President and Sister Tsuya now live in Las Vegas, NV with their son, Ricky.  They are doing very well.  President Tsuya is on the high counsel and they recently completed a calling at the Family History Library in Las Vegas.  They would love to hear from their "senkyoshitachi".
