Great Andrus Reunion in Hawaii !

About 38 attended on Oahu at the BYU-Hawaii campus in August 2000 including 20 from the Mainland, several from the local Hawaiian Islands, Pres. & Sister Paul C. & Francis Andrus, and former 70 Sam Shimabukuro and wife. Reports Sister Shirley Tong, "The best part was the testimony meeting which lasted 6 hours, much to our surprise!! It didn't seem long at all, and we finally had to quit because the cafeteria was going to close . . . ."

The dinner the night before the testimony meeting "was delicious and scrumptious and the conversation was sprinkled with humor, ranging from roaring laughter at some of the 'confessions' to tender tears as we reminisced for hours, took pictures, and caught up with each other's lives and families . . . Pres. Adney Komatsu couldn't attend due to illness," reports Shirley. 

Those from the Mainland who attended were Tom & Junko Shimizu, Karl & Connie Pope, Jerald and Kathryne Tolman, Jim & Jane Howell, Francis Forsythe, Eugene Oshima, Ronald & Barbara Fuchigami, Wally & Barbara Larsen, Joseph & Ina McElprang, LaDon & Lillian Griffin, and Shirley & Norm Tong.
