Profile Photo shows My First Assignment: Fukushima District 1974. Front Left to Right - Elder James Phillips, Elder Grant Salisbury, Elder John Scott, Elder Mark Borup. Back Left to Right - Elder Jeffrey Leavitt and Elder Brent Robertson.

Mission Companions: Elder Salisbury, Elder Leavitt, Elder Nakano in Fukushima, Elder Langford, Elder Young, Elder Rasmussen in Aomori, Elder Todd Ogaard, Elder Phil Cook in Hachinohe, Elder Anderson, Elder Asay, Metcalf in Shiogama, and Elders Jacobsen and Hansen in Sendai.

I recieved my BA in Sociology from Weber State University, and did my graduate studies in Social Work at the University of Utah. I am a retired Navy fighter pilot, currently working for the Raytheon Company in the Defense and Aerospace Industry. Travel to Japan occationally on business - still wear suits and try to speak Japanese.

Myrna and I have six kids (four boys and two girls), with eight grandkids and more on the way - boys all served missions to Greece Athens, Brazil Sao Paulo, West Virginia Charleston (Spanish speaking), and Maryland Baltimore (Spanish speaking).

Amazing how we were all so blessed for having served - the Japan Sendai Mission was, and still is, the best mission and people in the world!
