When you dial the phone numbers, if you put the 'zero' before the 'area code' it puts the call on the intercontinental fax lines, which is much more expensively charged to your phone bill (almost double the normal rate!)! You can make the same phone call for much less if you simply dial the phone number ommiting that one zero. your signal quality might suffer slightly, but it is usually not noticable, and much cheaper!
