Bin Kikuchi, former mission president of the Japan Tokyo North Mission (1990- 1993), has been called as a new Area Authority Seventy and will serve in the Sapporo region of Japan. The announcement was made in the Saturday afternoon session of the 174th annual general conference session. Area Authorities give voluntary LDS Church service within their assigned geographic areas.

Bin Kikuchi, 41, Shinkotoni Ward, Sapporo Japan West Stake; stake president, former high councilor and branch president; self-employed; earned bachelor's degree from the Dairy College of Agriculture and master's degree from Yamagata University; born in Sado, Japan, a son of Mitsuo and Tazuko Homma Kikuchi; married Hiroko Kanesaki; six children.

She is ward Relief Society president, former stake and ward Relief Society president, Relief Society teacher, Primary teacher, and Sunday School teacher; born in Muroran, Japan, a daughter of Kikuo and Tomiyo Kodama Kanesaki.
