Comments:
I just returned December of 2000, and as you can all understand, I'm glad to be home. When I left the Walukuba Chapel was very near completion and it looked awesome. President Waldron commented that its the most beautiful chapel in the mission. The Mukono chapel was being worked on but they encountered a few problems (like running water). It's also near completion. I don't believe all that much has changed. President Nabeta is still crooked, and nobody ever has change for a 5,000 shs note. It is becoming more modern with a few South African fast foods available in Kampala, but they're nothing that we missionaries could afford more than once a support. Elder Ballard came to Kenya in October of 2000 and we arranged for an all-mission conference in Nairobi. The missionaries are still rather close to each other, yet there will always be a few to call everyone a racist. The people are still as humble and beautiful as ever. It's definitely an experience never to be forgotten. I'm currently at home
