Here is a letter I received from one of the full time missionaries, Sister Gibbons, currently serving in the Kenya Nairobi Mission. I just thought I would pass along her information I recieved from her. It's been almost 10 years since I left the mission and it's great to see all the progress that has taken place.
Hi Jeremy,
I am finally getting back to you with some of the information you wanted about KNM. Sorry I have taken so long but life is busy in the Mission Office as usual. You ask about an email address to use - this one for the Mission Office is okay but many have access to it. If you would like to email me for updates at you may because we will be here until Jan. 2005, and then I could pass it on to the next person.
You ask how many ward/branches, stakes/districts, we have now, and the chapels the church owns. I will give you the list of the above and if the church owns the chapel I will put a * in front of their name. I assume that you knew that the Nairobi Stake was organized Sept. 2001. We are hoping that the Kampala Stake will be organized sometime this year.

Hi everyone,
I'm trying to locate a missionary companion of mine called Martin Kapps Kabuye who served his mission in the Ghana Accra Mission in 1999/2000. I think he finished his mission in the Kenya Nairobi Mission.
Bro Kabuye is from Uganda and as far as I am away is still living in Kampula
if anyone can help me with any information I would be very grateful
Thankyou

Hey all you guys out there!
I just arrived in Kampala this morning, June 13th, 2003. I will be here for the next two months. I am doing an internship with an NGO called "Reach the Children" in the area of microfinance.
I am staying with the Ssenyongos while I am here and I will be working closely with James Kizza.
I hope all is well with all of you. If any of you would like to send a message via me, just e-mail me.
Take care and talk to you later!
Elder Richard G. Winsor

I served back in the early 90's and was wondering if a few people are still around. If anyone has info on Elder Kaagwa , Kingsley Brako , Amos Tumwesige, or Saul Makubuya. I would appreciate it if anyone could send me their info. I would like to write some of these people.

On October 4, 2001, we had a mission reunion in Provo, Utah. We had a fairly good turn out. Presidents Clark, Boucher and Waldron attended along with their wives. Each mission president spoke a little bit about what is going in their lives. President Boucher talked a little on his and Sister Boucher's mission to Southern Africa (South Africa, Zimbabwe, Botswana) and their experiences teaching job interview and resume skills to the saints down there.
President Waldron gave a report on the mission, particularly on the new chapels in Nairobi, Walukuba, Mukono, and Dar es Salaam. He also spoke a little on the new stake in Nairobi as of September. The saints in Nairobi, he said, as of October are still waiting for a patriarch to be called to the Nairobi stake. Evidentally, that call comes directly from the Twelve.
Many of the former couples showed up, as well as many new faces who just recently came home. There were also some of us who have been home for quite some time who were there as well.
Lots of food! A good time was had by all!!!
Sister Clark said the next reunion will be held the Friday before April Conference, probably in the Salt Lake Area and it looks like the next October Conference reunion will take place in Provo. Please return to the web site for further info on future reunions!
The last reunion was a GREAT SUCCESS and hopefully we will see more of you at the next!
Until next time,
Richard G. Winsor
