Swahili Branch Organized in Salt Lake 05 Feb 2009
Under the direction of the First Presidency, Parleys Creek (Swahili) Branch was organized on Sunday, January 4, 2009. It is part of Salt Lake Sugar House Stake, Ryan K. Olsen is the Stake President. Most of its members are the refugee from countries such as Burundi, Rwanda and Congo. Also it has other Swahili native speaking countries such as Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda. The branch has been blessed to have some couple and young missionaries who help the branch in many areas.
