Kampala Stake continues to grow. 19 Apr 2010
Yesterday was a memorable day in Kampala Stake as we witnessed its growth. A new branch was officially opened called Mutungo branch. It comes from Kololo Ward where its members have been attending.

The branch is somewhat in the outskirts of Kampala city with a membership of about 37 members. However, at its official opening yesterday, the attendance was 85 including the branch members, stake leaders and investigators.

The meeting was conducted by the Branch President, Pres Denis Thepiro and Presided over by the Stake President, Pres Okot. In attendance was the Mission President, Pres Christensen with his wife. Branch leaders were called most of whom started their responsibilities immediately. It was such a special moment to witness the growth of the Church in Uganda especially in Kampala Stake.

Kampala Stake currently has 11 units, 6 of which are Wards and 5 are branches. The work continues to prosper in Uganda.
