Comments:
One thing that stuck out (beside the Scavenger Hunt on our first day in Korea...LOL) was a comment by President Han that "returned missionaries from Korea had the highest inactivity rate among missions world-wide." I never believed that would be me.

As I read through hundreds of profiles here, I see that those that most of you seem to have always been active and are currently active.

My profile will be different. Although I AM and have been active for the past 6 1/2 years, I was inactive for more than 18. An abusive ex-wife (although married in the Temple), many bishops and stake presidents who refused to believe her violence and 9 years of attacks made it difficult for me to believe that so many people called of God could not see the truth. I was young and naive. We had 2 children, a boy and a girl (now 30 and 28), but she ran off with them, and it took me 8 years to find them again.

I divorced, and remarried a non-member...only to be "blessed" with another abusive wife. We had 3 boys (now 23, 22 and 19). Our marriage also lasted only 9 years. Although my relationship is good with the 2nd set of kids, my older ones, poisoned by their mom's lies, to this day, believe that "I" am the one who left them.

I am now happily married with an active Church member (for a bit more than 2 years), She has one son from a prior marriage, and the 3 of us are doing great!

The atonement is a powerful thing, one that can't be underestimated. Someone with my struggles certainly needs the blessings of the atonement!

After "coming back" I, have served on the Activities Committee, as the Sunday School President, the Ward Employment Specialist, the High Priest group instructor and my wife and I currently serve as Ward missionaries.

In addition to the nearly 2 years in Korea, I lived 19 years in Japan, and in Ohio for four. In less than 2 weeks I will return to Japan for a new job assignment.

Please feel free to contact me!
