2011 Utah Korean Cultural Day 20 Sep 2011
Dear Friends,
The Korean Cultural Center of Los Angeles, Gyeonggi Arts Center, Korea Foundation and The Korean American Federation of Utah (“KAFU”) are proud to present a grand event on October 19th, 2011 Korean Cultural Day, in Salt Lake City at East High School. This event is a great opportunity for cultural exchanges between Koreans and Americans to further a better understanding and appreciation of our respective cultures.
2011 Korean Cultural Day in Salt Lake City is made possible by strong support from the Salt Lake City Mayor’s Office, the Chamber of Commerce and the Utah Asian Chamber of Commerce. This event presents a fantastic crossover performance of traditional Korean Dance combined with world renowned Taekwondo martial arts with a modern dance twist by Heung Dong Cho, who is Director of the Gyeonggi Provincial Dance Company of the Gyeonggi Arts Center. The performance contains quintessential Korean Traditional dance including: the Fan Dance, Hourglass-shaped drum dance and many more.
More than 50 world class performers will travel from South Korea for this performance to provide the audience an entertaining and enthusiastic evening. Such performances in South Korea have an average ticket price of approximately $100. Premier seating tickets for the 2011 Korean Cultural Day are $50; general seating tickets are $20.
