Dear fellow missionaries,

Time flies on and it seems so do I. I celebrate my 83rd birthday today. I seem to be doing pretty well. I received a birthday card from our son Brent saying that when you get old no one needs to tell you anything. On the next page it said, "Your knees will do that." It is true.

I am still doing pretty well physically and mentally. I serve in the Mesa Temple as a sealer and enjoy that calling very much. In our ward I am enjoying being a home teacher.

Sister Peterson has been gone now for over four years and it doesn't get any easier.

The Gospel is true however and that brings much of joy and happiness to my life as do memories of years gone by and our sweet and caring family and their children and their children's children. There are now nine greats with one on the way.

Love to you all,

JRP
