Wayne C. Player was President of the mission when I arrived. He was manager of the Deseret Gym in SLC. When the church decided to demolish the old gym, located between the Hotel Utah & the Relief Society building, he was call as mission president. When the new gym was finished just up the street where the Conference Center now stands, he returned to manage the new unit. He was succeeded by President Keysor.
