Comments:
Mikelle is excited about entering the MTC on November 28. She is especially grateful for this opportunity as she was in a very serious car accident the end of May that caused many extensive injuries and threatened her mission plans. The Lord has preserved her life and quickened her recovery for a reason and we would like to think it is because she has important work to do in the Manchester New Hampshire Mission.

Mikelle has just spent her first Christmas away from home in a small branch in Newport, ME, a very small town just to the west of Bangor. She is in a trio with Sister Roberts and Sister Sackett and they are really a great team. The people there are very supportive of the sisters and take very good care of them. Mikelle is having many wonderful spiritual experiences and writes that she loves her life would wish this experience for every young woman in the church.

Mikelle has had her first baptism and is so happy. Her two companions were transferred and she experienced her first "taste of unhappiness" when saying goodbye to two amazing companions. But she has a new companion whom she loves, Sister Mecham from Cedar City, Utah. Mikelle appreciates all the love and kindness the sisters receive from the members in Newport and thinks this must be the greatest mission in the church.

LDS QUOTE:
"You are a great army of returned missionaries. Go forward with new zeal and determination, and through your example shine the light of the gospel in this troubled world. This is the Lord’s work in which we are engaged. God lives. Jesus is the Christ. We belong to His Church. This is my witness to you in the name of Jesus Christ, amen."
- Elder L. Tom Perry
Ensign, Nov. 2001
