Presidents: William Blood Mansell (2001 - 2004) | Served: 2003 - 2003 | Language(s) spoken:English | Areas Served: Cortez and only Cortez | Companions: Daniel Scott Paben | Comments: Hello, everyone that has served in the New Mexico Albuquerque. Elder Bender here. I arrived a few months shortly after my 19th birthday and my high school graduation. Since a strip of southern Colorado is part of the mission field, it's like I said in "Areas Served"; I was trained in Cortez and ONLY Cortez. Since my mission was only about 2½ transfers long, I had difficulty adjusting to be a full-time servant of the Lord. No, I didn't go to school and got married (or vice-versa) after my short return, I helped out the Lord's servants assigned in my home ward within the Washington Tacoma Mission until about the summer of 2005 when I would've been OFFICIALLY home. My companion while in the Missionary Training Center, who was also called to Albuquerque, was Elder Daniel Paben while my trainer was Elder Alex Barrus. If there's anyone who remembers me from those few months, I hope to hear from you. If you also happen to have FaceBook, perfect! So do I! Bring on the contacting and hope to hear from you. :)
Oh, other news includes that on 26 Sept. 2004, my mother died of cancer. Also that on 9 Nov. 2007, my widowed father got re-married. So he gave me and my older brother not just a stepmother, but also five stepsisters (three older, two younger). |
