President Thompson was married to Anita Scott (nee Vennik) on January 11, 2000 in the NZ Temple. Anita is the widow of the late Graham Scott (himself a former NZ Christchurch missionary) who was serving as a counsellor on the Auckland NZ Harbour Stake Presidency until the time of his death. They had four children (Kimberley, Loren, Jordan and Simone) who with Rachel, Anthony, Matthew and Leigh are all shown in the photos. Click for larger versions.

President Thompson continues to work as the Church's International Legal Counsel for the Pacific and the family lives in Sydney.
