I hope that everyone out there is doing great in their lives, active, inactive, less-active, excommunicated, converted to Catholicism and/or Islam, whatever really, so long as you are HAPPY; this is the key to success (so I am told!).

As for me, I am an academic, I am excommunicated and have been for many many years, but I am happy nonetheless as membership in the church does not define me. I do miss much of what the church offered but that is behind me now; there are substitutes (I'm kidding!).
