Kia Ora!
Here is a little update to my life since serving with many of you in New Zealand North Mission. I married a wonderful girl and love of my life, Kathleen A. Mahoney, on June 8, 1974. We have six wonderful children; four girls (all of them have me wrapped around their finger) and my two sons who are my best friends. They as of now have added to our family twelve grandchildren. Three of my children (Adam, Shaun and Leah) served missions to South American countries (Santiago, Chile, Bahia Blanca, Argentina, and Montevideo Uruguay respectively). Two of my daughters are school teachers (Kelli and Leah both with MEd’s.) and the youngest daughter is Natalie is a concert pianist who desires to teach university level classes in performance and music theory once she has completed her MA in Music, she is also planning on continuing on to get her PhD in Music. My oldest son Adam has his MBA and is a full partner with me in my accounting and financial planning practice. Shaun also completed his MPH and is CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) for a pharmaceutical company.
I have had the opportunity to serve in many callings over the years that include bishop, bishopric, YM President, Elders Q. President, H.P. Group leader, stake executive secretary and as a teacher in all but the women organizations. I have had the opportunity to serve in the Los Angeles Temple for approximately nineteen years, the first fourteen years as a veil worker and the last five years as an ordinance worker. This has been the love and passion of my life. I just love it.
The time in New Zealand serving with you has brought much satisfaction in my life over the years. It helped me to guide my family in the ways of the Lord. I believed it was a driving tool in my efforts to teach my boys (my daughters as well) that they were missionaries in the making and would follow their dad into the mission field. It was such a positive and rewarding experience for me and I did not want them to miss that opportunity in their lives.
I would love to hear from any of you out there. If you ever find yourselves in Northern Santa Barbara County or even in the Southern County area of California, please look me up I would love to go over old times and get caught up on current times with you.
God bless and keep you safe within His loving arms.
