Jason Williams,
Thank you so much for doing the mission songs. When ever I feel something missing I listen to the mission song and it reminds me of my mission and the members I met there. Thanks again you're the best.

The Mission Song is a Wonderful part of the NCCM At times after President Smith gave us some wonderful words at Zone Confrence Followed by Sister Smith She would ask us to sing that Song and There were many times when the Tears Flowed in Great Abundance if you dont like the mission song maybe you should listen to the words a little closer. :P I love you all.

Hey Williams thanks for posting the song in MP3 format. I was so glad. I mean, I am not going to listen to it every night, but I did want to have a copy.
Ok for those who think this song is the worst song ever. I have made a list of songs that are 10 times worse. Feel free to add to the list.
1-Abrakadabra (reach out and grab ya)
2-That annoying Maroon 5 song.
3-The first cut is the deepest (how much longer are we going to be tortured via radio?)
4-Anything from Ben Folds (I know these are Carolina boys, but they are form Chapel Hill, and that is in the "evil" Raliegh Mission)
5-Any song from from EFY. Seriously, the mission song beats any cheesy old rotten song written for a bunch of youth who have $300 to spend on LDS speakers. If I remember right, I never paid a dime to hear the mission song.
6-Who let the dogs out? (try singing this at every zone conference)
7-John Mayer Music (I wish I could read the lyrics, because I can't understand what he says. At least with the mission song we knew the words.)
Anyway, they are many songs that are tons worse then the mission song. So add them to the list...

I liked the Mission Song. I was touched every time we sang it at our zone conferences. Thanks for the song. I'm glad it was part of my mission experience. -Dale Dimond serving under President Stewart

everyone has likes and dislikes when it comes to music. The composer himself said that at the end of his mission he was tired of it. As for the elder who said that many missionaries he knew had tears in their eyes when they heard the song well!!!! I never saw that when I was on the trail,(serving a mission), in N.C.,(the old cacalaki). As the brothers in my unit call the state. I still feel that the song is stupid. But the composer has a good attitude.

Elder Conklin, I want to personally thank you for that song. as well as other music you wrote that was given to me by a sister who knew you. I was told that I started my mission just a few months after you left North Carolina. I have enjoyed your music very much, and have long desired to have the opportunity to tell you so.
I'm glad you have such an open mind about the comments that have been posted. One "dangerous" thing about Internet conversation is that we tend to forget that, while there is NOTHING wrong with stating an opinion, as those who profess to be God's people we ought to state those opinions with an attitude of dignity, compassion, and respect for each other. Even when leaving one's name, it is easy to slip into the myth of anonymity that seems to go with the medium.
My personal opinion of the song is that it is very sweet. I agree that you have written better songs, from a musical standpoint. But it suited the purpose, and it holds a dear spot in my heart. I, for one, would be very grateful for a copy of the recording.
Thank you all,
Sister Janice (Carrell) Eyre
