Your Occupation: Budget Analyst
Comments:
My middle name is Francis Gilman Ka'oa'o Forsythe. I have never married. Adam K. (Ka'oa'o) is my father. I was employed by the Navy at Pearl Harbor for 31 years. I have been active, having served in 4 Bprics, 2 High Councils. I had a degree and after several years of working various places, I had an interview for a Budget Clerk-Statistician position at Pearl Harbor. The interviewer noticed my application included the ability to speak Japanese. I gave him a translation of a sentence he gave me and I got the job - and stayed there until I retired in 1994. The Lord blesses each of us - since it didn't seem like it was my having a degree in accounting, nor my score on the test that allowed me the opportunity to be interviewed, it was because of a skill in a language that I learned on my mission. And, at that time, the influx of Japanese visitors to Hawaii was having a real positive effect on the economy - and the tourist industry was searching for those who had Japanese-English speaking skills.
He was at the Fuji View Hotel Conference in May 1959. Row 6

"Obedience is the price, faith is the power, love is the motive, the Spirit is the key, and Christ is the reason." The motto of the Japan Fukuoka Mission can be applied not only to missionary work, but to everyday life. -BYU President Bateman
