Comments:
I graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in International Relations with an emphasis on the Middle East.

While in college, I paid my way through school by working at the U newspaper doing graphic design and journalism. My last year there, I was the Editor in Chief of the newspaper.

After graduating, I moved to Manhattan where I lived for two years doing graphic design. After moving back to Utah, partly because my mother was very ill (she died in Feb. 2004), I went to work for the Sundance Film Festival as the Marketing Manager/Senior Graphic Designer. Currently, I'm a partner and Art Director for an advertising / creative marketing agency.

I've always been a huge fan of the singer Sissel ever since I first heard her music during "Culture Night" in the MTC. I love her music immensely because it reminds me of Norway. In 1997, I created The Sissel Website (http://www.sissel.org) which I still maintain. I have seen Sissel in concert in Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center in DC, in San Francisco and with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir in Salt Lake. After the concert in SF, I was able to meet her and spent 4 hours having drinks with her and her manager back at their hotel.

After many years of repressing my true feelings, I finally accepted that I was gay while living in New York City in 1998. I have been very happy since then to be able to accept myself for who I am and love myself. I was surprised by how many other guys there are from the mission who are gay. I know at least 12 who are.

In 2002, I started a social group called gayRMs for other RMs who are also gay to help and support them with the issues they face in dealing with being gay and Mormon. Email me if you would like the URL to the website.

I recently finished a documentary film about gay Mormons called "The Truth of God," which I co-wrote and co-directed with my friend Gloria Quick. We're now in the process of submitting the film to various film festivals and such.
