Sister Schroader and I just returned from the Adams Branch 20th anniversary commemoration. Those who served there will be happy to know that the branch is doing well. Sister Knott is still the fireball she has always been. She has slowed down at bit at 84 years of age-she only has 3 callings. She is relief society secretary, prints the weekly program, and is the Gospel Doctrine teacher. So those of us who think we are overworked or too busy just think of this special lady. "Shug" is doing pretty good and said to say hello to everyone who served there. It was a real treat for us to return to our favorite area and get reaquainted with all the good people of Adams Branch.

Sister Schroader and I will be in Adams Branch for the 20th anniversary celebration of the origin of the branch. Anyone who served in Adams Branch is welcome to contact us if you would like us to extend your congratulations to them as they celebrate. We are certain they would love to hear from you.

Many of you who served in Portsmouth might know this already, but for those of you who don't I have wonderful news! I got an e-mail from Sister Duplain yesterday telling me about the new chapel. She says,
"The branch is doing well but lots of changes. The old building is gone and the beautiful new chapel is right behind where the old one stood. Everyone thinks that the chapel reminds them of the temple (it's mostly white). We moved into it in April but they just dedicated it last month."
Isn't that awesome!? I have so many memories of the old chapel, but I can't wait to see the new one. I'm sure that many of you who served in Portsmouth are equally curious about seeing it too. She might send me some pictures and I'll see if I can post them. Take care!
