Elder Parley P. Pratt, a Member of the Council of 12 Apostles of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, was killed near Alma, Arkansas in May, 1857, while doing Missionary work. We held a District Meeting there to help us remember the efforts of the early Latter-day Saints.
