I didn't know where to begin to look for Elders and Sisters that I was so privileged to have worked with. I see names listed above that bring a smile to me.
A few years following my mission and marriage I enlisted in the Army. I moved my family from Cheyenne WY to Monterey CA to learn Russian at the Defense Language Institute. I wanted to get involved with language after the Exito Zone in Philly taught me "Somo testigos de Jehova," and I learned I could roll my r's. I learned Russian and served on active duty in Europe for five years. The active duty life required more time away from family than I wanted to give so we moved to Provo for schooling at the Y. I stayed with the military by joining the UT National Guard. In 99 when things got interesting in the Balkans I went to work full-time with the Guard and learned Serbo-Croatian. I've bounced back and forth between Russian and Serb doing translation work ever since.
Thanks again to Tom Leavitt for creating this web site!! I've gained a sense of belonging already that I didn't think I would ever get back.
I'm especially hopeful that I can make contact with Scott Prigmore. Scott and I worked together on the Delmarva Peninsula in 78. I have some news about a family that he and I worked with that I would love to pass on to him. |

LDS QUOTE: |
"You are a great army of returned missionaries. Go forward with new zeal and determination, and through your example shine the light of the gospel in this troubled world. This is the Lord’s work in which we are engaged. God lives. Jesus is the Christ. We belong to His Church. This is my witness to you in the name of Jesus Christ, amen."
