MPLC mission reunions:

Sat. May 19 2001

>From an email by Dave Wudel:

Buenas tardes a todos,
The reunion is still on for Saturday the 19th. It starts at 3:30pm and goes until whenever. I'm buying food and stuff for it and I've reserved a pavillion at Rock Canyon Park. To help us plan better, we need a count of how many people are coming. So, I need everyone to email me by Wednesday, May 9th with an RSVP if you are going to attend.

If you are bringing guests, please include the number in your RSVP. To help pay for the food and stuff, we'll take the total cost and divide it by the number of people in attendance. I think it'll probably be like 5 bucks per person. I'll let you know the exact amount after I get a count of people attending. That's all for now. Tenga un buen dia.

Dave

Hello Friends:
I'm not sure how many people I have told about this, so I'll tell you all now. Due to some conflicts, the reunion has been moved forward one week. It is now scheduled to be held on Saturday, May 19, 2001. I'm telling you now so you can plan around it. It'll probably start around 3pm and go until whenever. Also, we're planning on having it at Rock Canyon Park in Provo (a block north of the Provo Temple). That's all for now. Bye.

From a Previous Email:
Yes, its that time of year again. Its time to start practicing your Spanish and Qechua again. We are in the planning stages of the upcoming reunion for the glorious Mision Lamanita. Here's the idea so far. Since the past two reunions have been at a restaurant, we are planning on having our next reunion outside at a park.

Tentatively, the reunion is planned for May so it will be warmer. What do you guys think about a BBQ followed by an afternoon of games and fun. We could play touch football, ultimate frisbee, soccer, canasta de frutas, Parcheesi, etc. ..... hopefully we can have some out-of-towners come. I'm sure we can find places for you to stay. Anyway, reply to this email if you have conflicts with that date or if you have suggestions.
I look forward to hearing from you.
See ya,
Dave

A reunion was held in Lima, according to information from (returned) President Rojas, in the Cercado, Lima church meetinghouse on Dec. 8, 2000 from 9 AM to 11 PM, followed by a visit to the temple the next day.

The last reencuentro, in Perú was on March 3, 2001, in Trujillo. Both the Cuba and Rojas families are expected to be there. Marco Arana (whose address is on the web site) was the one who provided the info, if you need more.

The next reunion in Utah will be organized by Dave Wudel (davewudel@hotmail.com) and will probably take place in Provo, UT around conference time in April or October 2001.
