I recieved my call to Peru Lima North about 2 months ago and am preparing to enter the MTC on June 16th. If anyone has any advice or comments or anything that would help in the preparation for this particular area, it would be most appreciated!! The only information I have been able to come up w/ from friends and missionaries who have served in peru is that the people are wonderful and the food is great!!! Im so excited (however that doesnt help w/ the packing!) : ) Thanks to anyone who is able to help!! Im so excited to serve the Lord and his people in this area!!! (lets just hope my spanish catches up....)

Hola a todos. Sirvi en la mision 1997 hasta 1999. Estaba en Carabayllo, Tahuantinsuyo, la officina, Iquitos, Huacho.
Estoy casado desde abril 2001. Tengo una hija y hay un bebe que vendra este septiembre. Estoy estudiando en la Universidad del Estado de Oregon (OSU) para ser doctor de farmacia.

Dear missionaries,
This is a great means of communication. Thanks to those missionaries that keep in touch and update their profile. We´re happy living here in Bountiful. We´re planning a missionary reunion the Friday prior to general conference. Please, keep in touch with Brent Burnett, or Tanner Bell or Tanner Trujillo for more details. Next time that I update this info. I´ll include the emails of the three organizing the reunion.
Queridos misioneros, gracias a este medio de comunicación podemos estar en contacto y poner al dÃa los datos pertinentes. Vamos a tener una reunión de exmisioneros el viernes antes de la conferencia general y se deben poner en contacto con Brent Burnett, Tanner Bell o Tanner Trujillo para tener más detalles.
Sabemos que las cosas en el Perú no son las ideales y que deben sentirse frustrados con todo lo que ocurre, pero la única salida es seguir siendo fieles al Señor, no hay otra manera. ¿Por qué no cambian las cosas? A lo mejor porque no estamos haciendo nuestra parte. Piénsenlo.

The Peru Lima North Mission Alumni site now has a new look. Thanks to LDS Mission Network for hosting our site!
The new site contains many new features! Seperate and secure directories for Alumni, Friends & Members, and Currently Serving Missionaries. There's also chat, messages, news, pictures, stories, reunions, polls, weather, and much more.
As the need for security over the internet increases, our advanced site implements many new features that protect registered users from SPAM and the harvesting of your personal information. (EMail addresses are always hidden) Within your personal profile, you also now have personal security and site notification options which enable you to customize who has access to your information, and what site notifications you wish to receive.
I apologize for the inconvenience, however, as the old site RM directory was getting out of date, and as a means to audit out old or inaccurate information, rather than migrating your currently listed information to the new database, I am inviting you to re-register with the new site. You will be able to select a username and password which will allow you to edit/update your personal information at anytime.
