I got this email from them after my inquiry about the homecoming:
"Would love to see you and the other RMs if possible at our home coming. It is a ways to travel tho, so what ever works out.
Here is the date, time and place:
July 7, 2002
9:00 a.m.
Pella Chapel
400 South Burley.Idaho
Sacrament Meeting is first.
Can't recall what west the church is on (been here to long) but when your driving to Burley you take the 208 exit off the freeway, then turn left, this will put you on the Overland Highway. Just stay on Overland...go through town you will be heading South. Keep going until you come to a little store which will be on your right. It is called Farmers Corner, don't turn just keep going......Not to far past this little store is 400 South. You will turn right on 400. Keep going till you come to the church which will be on your right. You cannot miss it as it sits close to the road.
Ha Ha ...don't keep going, just come on in!
We can't believe it is our turn to leave. The emotions are mixed up ...kinda Holo-Holo!
New mission president and wife are great we have talked with them several times on the phone.
The mission is doing wonderful, missionaries doing good and working hard. New complex has been so nice, we feel very blessed to have spent a few months in it.
Take care, and perhaps we will see you soon. Was great to hear from you.
Our Love, President and Sister Sanders "
Anyone want to carpool?

To all Philippines San Fernando/Olongapo Missionaries
Greetings and love,
This is an announcement of a missionary reunion to be held at the home of President and Sister Christensen on 5 April 2002 from 7:00 to 10: P.M. Please come! We realize many are scattered about the country with their schooling and professional careers and may not be able to come, but send us a note so we can share things about you with others.
We moved to American Fork in the Fall of 2001. President C began working at BYU as director of the Ezra Taft Benson Agriculture and Food Institute. Sister C has been getting us settled in our new home and teaching piano lessons to family. Our home is south of American Fork. If we had a city address it would be 69 West 1100 South, but we are in Utah County and all of those addresses are figured from the county seat in Provo, so follow the map and directions given. Since we live on the borders of the wilderness, do not park in the mud.
Directions: Exit I-15 at the 279 exit (American Fork 5th East) and turn toward the lake or south. After 0.3 or 0.4 of a mile you will come to a large concrete building on your right and a T in the road. Turn right or west. You will cross the railroad tracks almost immediately–watch out for the train and continue west from the tracks 0.6 of a mile. Our home will be on the left hand or south side of the street. A stand of cottonwood trees will be on the north side of the street. If you cross the creek and come to another T in the road, you have just passed our home. Turn around and come back. We will have the lights on for you, except possibly the one on the mail box, since it is not hooked up yet. If you can please email, write or telephone us with your address and your intentions. We need to update your location. Even if you do not get this done, come any way. Sister C is attempting to plan the food. The mission website is www.mission.net/philippines/olongapo. We have drawn a map.

I have some pictures of the new chapels in 100 islands and Lingayen. I will try to post them soon. I also have pictures of the new mission complex.
Elder Van Wagoner came back and married a Filipina from Lingayen.
The mission now has 202 missionaries.
There will be a reunion in January in Provo. The Garners will be at the MTC for training.
