Stories: Sis. McCracken's Red Dress

Sis. McCracken's Red Dress 22 Mar 2004
Sis. McCracken wanted to have several dresses made that she could wear on special occasions. We went to see a member who was also a good dress maker and she contracted her to make the dresses. One of them was the notorious "RED DRESS". We were to have a baptism and we really felt that it was special that we dressed up for the occasion. Sis. McCracken wore her "RED DRESS" and even bought a pair of red pumps to match. She was stunning and made a lot of heads turn that day. Another chance for her to wear the dress was on Christmas Conference of 1992. I think that was the last I've seen her wear it. She was transferred out that day and before she did, Sis. Peck had a good talk with her about the "RED DRESS". Even after a few years after I came home from my mission, I was still hearing stories about the sister who wore the 'RED DRESS' in San Pablo.
