Howdy from the west 19 Sep 2005
To confirm wagner's message, PLN and PLS did join, Azores were kept, Porto got Madeira, Cabo is its own mission. I was under the direction of Pres. Costa for 5-6 months after Pres. Trost went home.

I was just wondering how some people are doing...like Elders Loftus, Yates, who I heard was getting married/got married, Critchfield, Lindsay, Parker, Hurst, Day, Richins, Gibson, Alexander, Honsvick, etc. mainly, all my companions, and then some.

I'm married with child (Evelynne's 5 months) and she hasn't picked up on the language yet, but I've been reading Harry Potter (portug.) to her and think she'll pick it up nicely. I got a region-free DVD player for Christmas last year and have been buying portuguese dvd's through eBay, etc. Life is great!

Looking for Missionaries... 13 Aug 2005
Hey, anyone who served from 1998 to 2000 or anywhere in between, I'm looking to get in touch with a few missionaries. If anyone knows how to do that, let me know. They are:

Julie Winder
Peggy Houghton
Emily Hornberger
Joseph Zamora

I actually had their phone numbers on my cell phone, but it was stolen. I should have written them down! Anyway, any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

New Mission boundaries 17 May 2005
Well if you mean that the boundary changes in 2002 are new then Lisbon South and Lisbon North were consolidated. Lisbon South lost Cabo Verde which became its own mission. The new Lisbon mission has Madeira but lost the Azores which now belongs to Porto.

Welcome to the new website 02 Dec 2004
I'll be maintaining the site along with Fred Larsen so we have a good bridge connecting all the years the Lisbon North Mission was open.

I am also trying to contact the different mission presidents and making them aware of the site so reunions and other mission alumni events can be posted on here.

I hope that you will register on the site, add a description as to what you are currently doing and then let others know so they can sign up as well.

The more the site is used the better a resource it will become. If you have any suggestions for the site feel free to contact me or Fred. We hope to make this site the place to get information about old friends / companions and other news relevant to the missionary work in Portugal.

I'll be updating the site with news as it becomes available.
