Does anyone knows where the single adults meet in the Fajardo Region? Do they have a website or email address?

I recently visited last year and experienced this incredible phenomonon. It's called the 'Biluminescent Bay' (Las Croabas Lagoon) and it's in Fajardo. There is also one in Vieques (the best one).
There are florescent green organisms that give off light when they are aggitated. Very cool!

It is the Bahia Fosforocente (sp) down near Boqueron. You actually get there from the small town of Parquera. I went there a couple years ago and am going back again in a couple of weeks.
The glowing water is a defense mechanism of a small plankton which lights up when contact is made with it. It is used to defend itself against shrimp that like to eat it. When the shrimp comes in contact with the plankton, it lights up, letting the cuttlefish, the natural predator of the shrimp, know where to find its next meal.

Does anyone know what I'm referring to when I mention las aguas brillantes? I heard about it while I served on the south side of the mission, and I got to see it first hand when my parents came to pick me up. I just can't remember where exactly it was. You have to go at night and ride in a little boat so not too many missionaries would have seen them I imagine, but I see that a lot of you are returning for vacations and such and it is a must see in my opinion. Very beautiful and just a natural wonder! If anyone has info, it'd be great to pass on!

I noticed that very few really understand what a Hurting Buck was. This was what we called the mangy 3 legged dogs that were very common in P.R. during my mission. As in "That's one hurtin' buck". We did not use the term for other missionaries. That started much later. As for Chuckwagon that came from the states side missions. We were still the Florida, Ft. Lauderdale Mission then. As stated by others it was used to discribe lazy missionaries.
I would love to here from anyone who remembers back far enough to remember me. I was there the day the Puerto Rico, San Juan Mission came into existence. I was transfered down the month before the split. I served under President Millett.

Hi, Im a member from the San German Ward, I see that alot of you talk about everything from road Maps to Quenepas and thought just as I consider the missionaries here as my "babies" I feel the same love for all of you. So #1 A mango-piña is a mango without fibers so maybe someone with a fruit stand might know which one you are talking about, #2 You can get free maps and Tour Guides just by writting or calling the tourism dept. here, #3 Quenepas are also known as mamoncillos especially in Florida where the majoritie of the spanish comunity is Cuban. #4 I dont have the information to the Lajas Ward but, I do have the Elders here in San Germans most recent phone number ( (787)553-4365 )and I know they have all the other areas numbers, I like to keep track of my children... If any of you think I might be able to help you maybe track someone down or whatever feel free to email me- [the send email link below]

Hey, I was accepted to a medical school in Bayamon. My family and I are going to be moving out to P.R. in early July. I think we are going to look for a place in Dorado. If anyone knows anything about Dorado, or where a nice place to live there or close to Bayamon is, please let me know.

Just curious if anyone, particularly those who may have served more recently than I, might have known or know how I could contact a couple that lived in the Rio Piedras area: Marvin and Maria de los Angeles Perez. Ron Kjar
