Any sister missionaries that served in Asaga (Savaii). We taught and baptised the beautiful Matafeo family, they remember sister missionaries used to visit them when they had just started their family, they can't remember the sisters names but they planted the seed that led to the Matafeo familys conversion many years (and 7 children) later.

Subject: Fa'a Samoa in Branson, MO
Talofa. My wife and I stopped in Branson, MO today and were very supprised to find a wonderful group of Samoan young people from Upolu and Savai'I doing a 2 hour show at the Dutton theater. The show was wonderful and very inexpensive. It is called "Island Fire" and features many dances and songs and fire dances from Samoa and other countries. All the performers are from Samoa. The Dutton family is LDS and one of their sons is married to a Samoan woman thus the connection. No advertisinf has been done because visas were late in coming and so advertisments were canceled. After much prayer they came at the last moment and the show is going on. They will be here until December 2007. Last year we came to see the PCS program here in Branson and that show was wonderful but believe this one is better. Just thought I would pass the word.

A committee is continuing to research the archives of people's minds for stories and pictures of pioneers or pillars of the Church in Samoa from aso anamua (the beginning of the work). We are looking for names, dates and places that people served as faife'au fa'anofonunu or were threatened because of their embracing the Church when it wasn't popular. PLEASE, we cannot make up stories for this book; we hope to have it ready for publication either in print form or online by 2010. Pass the word along to all your acquaintances. Fa'afetai tele! Please submit any information or contact names and numbers to Tracy.

Talofa!
After 25 years, we're planning a trip back to Upolu and Savaii this summer. Does anyone have suggestions on where to stay (or not stay) while we're there. We plan to spend about 1 to 1-1/2 weeks on each island. Any recommendations would be appreciated!
Faafetai lava - Ia Soifua

Speaking of the reunion, I might take a little stroll down there. In addition to the program, it was announced at our Ward (Orem 9th) that there will also be a dance. A little excercise won't hurt :-).

Malo Soifua,
Just wondering who is going to attend the mission reunion on March 30th? My wife and I plan on attending.

Alvin and Ramona Schwenke live in Florida. I think there are also some
other Schwenkes there besides them.
