Im trying to find out if anyone knows if there is going to be a dance for any former Pesega graduates during the weekend leading to the conference. My son Tyler Sannar has been in the MTC for one month. He will stay for about eight and a half weeks. He says that they are learning the Samoan language so fast through the spirit. The elders that have come home are so willing to share info about the mission. They become a close nit group. My wife jumped through a lot of hoops to get all the cloths and meds that were
necessary for entry in to the MTC. If we could be of any help to you in your preprerations, we would be delighted to do so. This is going to be an exciting and busy two months. As you can tell there are few missionaries that are called to serve in this mission. Tyler is in a class with elders that are going to New Zealand and speaking Samoan. You will likely have the
same experience.

i am trying to find my grandmothers family she was mary schwenke and she
had one child whom she called peter his father was sam churchward he was
engaged to mary then came back to samoa and ended up marrying christine
nikels they ended up raising my dad and christine adopted him as her own
and renamed him George Charles Samuel churchward however on the family tree
his name is michael if you are confussed about now then you will understand
why it is important to me to sort or clean this mess up i am mary's eldest
granddaughter and this is very important to me if you could help me in
anyway it would mean very much i look forward to your reply thank you donna

Hello! When I heard of the flooding in Pesega a couple of weeks ago, my
heart went out to all the residents in the area especially my family and
relatives over there. I was born i Pesega and was brought up in the Mormon
church. My parents are strong members of the church and i pray that the
lord almighty will bless and guide my home village forever. You will not
be forgotten in my prayers and i hope one day i will see Pesega again.

We are looking for Sister Sauvao (sp?). She served in the Roseville California Mission, being assigned to our ward, Gridley 3rd, for several months. We know her family home is about 5 minutes from the temple and her father has passed away.
Our son, Elder Tyler Sannar, will be arriving in Samoa in April. We would like her to know he is in the country.

Just wanted to let everyone know how well the church is growing up north in
Anchorage, Alaska. Our Anchorage 16th (Samoan) ward was divided last
December and so there are now 2 samoan wards in Alaska. How about that,
ey? The other samoan ward is called the Northern Lights (Samoan) ward.
Fauono Saena is the bishop, with Tauveve Filoialii, 1st coun. & Salevalasi
Tuia, 2nd coun. The bishopric for the other ward is, Hermann Scanlan,
bishop, Toatasi Tafao, 1st coun. & Iosefa Tufaga, 2nd coun. Full-time
missionaries serving in our ward (Northern Lts), are Elder Leala from
Puipaa, Samoa, & Elder Faamoe from Missouri. Just an update on how we are
progressing in the cold...heehee!
