I am happy to report that after 16 years since our mission, Scott Roskelley and I met up last night when I invited him and his family to our ward Christmas party! It was sooooo good to see him and to meet his family. He's doing well both physically and spiritually. He met up with Sione Tia, also an RM and a member of our ward (Mapusaga).
Anyway, he enjoyed his alaga pua'a and taro!
Oh yeah, I saw Palemia Tafiti there too, last night. He's doing well too.

Hello from Hamburg - Germany! While doing some genealogy research I've
discovered, that my relative Adolf Banse was involved with the postal
service in Apia around 1900. Adolf Banse was born around 1870 and he died
and was burried in Samoa. Do you know how I could get more genealogy
information about my relative and his offspring? I would love to give my
grandparents a photo of his grave and of the grave yard. Could you give me
any hints on how to continue? Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you, Marc Stolte

If you are traveling to Samoa, the new temple does not have a laundry and therefore they do not rent temple clothing. Take your own with you or plan to buy some at the distribution center...I learned the hard way when I was down there last week :(

On Saturday 29th October, Family and friends of President Lini To'o celebrated his 75th Birthday. Many of his RM's were also present, where all plans and preparations had been kept very secret by his children. All guests had arrived 30 minutes earlier and awaited for the unsuspecting Patriach to walk through the doors. In all the time I had served under Pres. To'o, I have never known him to be speechless .... As tears welled up in his eyes, it was so apparent that each and everyone in that hall had been in some capacity, blessed to be associated with this man. Our gratitude to his children for inviting us to celebrate our President and Father's special day.
The Samoa Apia Mission Association (To'o Era) NZ, have been actively presenting firesides in Samoan Wards currently within Auckland. Together with President To'o and Sis. To'o, we have been able to share our experiences and the gospel. We would love to hear from all our other RM's here in NZ and abroad. Pres would love to hear how you all are. Just drop me a line if you have any queries.

For those of you who didn't get to see the game last Saturday, here's a link to BYU's football page. It's got a great picture of Matt Allen scoring the winning touchdown. The link is :
