I only posted a message yesterday and received quite a few responses. I want to thank you all so very much for your input and insights. My son is going to Serbia and we are all very happy for him.
I saw that not very many people message on this board, so I will make it short. I want to thank all of you who made this website available including all the links where you can actually hear the Hymns being sung. You have a great thing going here. Thank you for letting me be part of it.
To all of you - have a wonderful day!
Sincerely,
Sylvia Kearney

Hi,
I am the mom of a missionary that will be leaving the MTC on 05/14 to serve in the SLO-CRO - Serbia mission. We have been so excited for him and looked everywhere for pictures or info on that region, until I found your site. Are we in the right area? How can we find out more about the church over there. Any interesting facts etc would be so much appreciated. Also, are there any needs?

I've just visited the new cerkev.org website and have been downloading and listening to each of the hymns. I'm basically sitting here bawling like a baby. It is beautiful. A major improvement from the 19 or 20 songs that were translated when I was there. My favorite are the ones that have the 4 parts in harmony. Keep building the kingdom over there. We're praying for you.

Here is a new website that the members have put together. It is pretty cool, there are links to mp3 file of songs and activities ect. I got this from Nenad Arsenuk this morning. It is pretty cool that they finally have a website, it seems like a lot of good things are happening over there.
Enjoy Padavic

I just received an email from an Elder that is currently serving in Slovenia. He said that on Saturday, 10/9/06, there will be a ground breaking ceremony in Ljubljana for the new chapel. Here is what he wrote:
New Chapel!!!!!
This Saturday we are going to have the groundbreaking ceremony for the new meeting house! We just now have all rented space in all the cities and we finally after years got approved to start building!!!! YES! I'm so excited for it! It’s going to be Saturday for about 45 min. then we're all heading back to the church for a baptism! :) It’s going to be a wonderful day!
I know many of us have dreamt and heard a lot about a chapel being built and what an impact it will have on the church, as well as the members, to have a place to call their own. I will pass on any more information (i.e. location, time frame, and anything else I can get or if there are more cities that will receive a chapel) and hopefully some pictures in the next week or two. Keep the members and the missionary work in your prayers, because we all know how things as big as this sometimes fall apart over there.
Talk to you all soon.
