| While serving in Pretoria with Elder Travis Muirbrook, we became good friends with a member family. One night after a dinner appointment, we got into a shaving cream fight in their apartment. We got cleaned up and after the spiritual message we went back to our apartment. Emil, the husband, wanted to get us back - payback, so he talked to one of his friends that was a policeman to get some advice on how to get us back. His friend gave him a canister and told him to pull the plug and throw it in our window. We'd come running out the door and he could spray us with shaving cream. The morning he did this was a little before six in the morning. We were still in bed and heard a loud "clunk" and a spraying sound. Elder Muirbrook got up to see what the sound was. Imediately he came running back into the bedroom screaming and holding his eyes. Me being the curious person I am had to find out what happened. So what do I do? I go out into the living room and get hit with the strongest smell that takes my breath away. I run back into the bedroom and head for the window. Both Elder Muirbrook and I were gasping for fresh air with our heads out the window. After about ten minutes, Emil drives his car around the back of our building to find us with our heads out the window. He was laughing and asking us how come we didn't come out front. His friend didn't tell him that the canister was in fact "tear gas". Our apartment building had to be evacuated. Boy what a fun memory. When Emil came to apoligize to us, we both tied him to a chair and emptied two new cans of shaving cream on him. Fact: If you take the top of the can of shaving cream off (the regular tip) and put an aerosol spray tip on the can tip, a person can spray shaving cream up to twenty feet away. |
