Greetings -- nostalgic feelings are flowing, as I just sent my eldest son to the MTC -- going to Arizona, Mesa. He's pretty pumped up! As for me, I'm raising teenagers while the rest of you are most likely empty nesters. Life is pretty crazy, but we have four great kids! My husband is a Smithsonian gardner, landscape designer, candy designer, (Art took a major hit after 9/11 - out of work 1 1/2 years)now, frustrated Walmart Manager (please don't egg my house), and a really great guy who has a nutty, high maintenance wife! I've been teaching Spanish for five years - after returning to school to certify, and then masters (it just means I get more pay!) My Spanish is pretty rusty (I'm still re-learning as I go, but I do a pretty good Spanish 1 & 2 imitation). So far my most outrageous experience in the classroom was when 'Patrick' brought a penis pinata (that he created) for our Cinco de Mayo fiesta. I thought it was a really cool rocket and hung it right in front of my hallway door -- until a student in 6th period re-explained the birds and bees to me. It's a crazy age to teach, but I like the kids and they keep me hopping! I've been totally out of contact with most of you, but stayed in touch with Rebecca Willis and Pam Jackson for a long time - then lost track when they moved out of state. Pam went to Florida and Rebecca to Colorado (I think).
