Greetings from the City of Bountiful, Utah- the place for International Festivals!

On behalf of the Bountiful/Davis Art Center (BDAC), I would like to invite you to join us as we officially welcome the following invited countries:
China Taiyuan City Folk Arts Ensemble
Hungary Bartók Táncegyüttes Folkdance Ensemble

BOUNTIFUL/DAVIS SUMMERFEST INTERNATIONAL 2009 FREE ADMISSION

Aug. 5, Wed., Streetdance and Taste of the Town-South on historic Main St. in Bountiful
Learn an international dance and sample food from local restaurants
sponsored by the Davis Chamber of Commerce and Bountiful/Davis Art Center
Aug. 6-8 Thurs-Sat., Opening Ceremonies, International performances, artists booths, ethnic food booths, children’s art yard--- Bountiful City Park , 200 West 400 North
Opening Ceremonies – August 6 – Davis Chamber Day at Summerfest
Festival all day at the park- August 7-8 – 10am-10pm
August 8 – 8am Chuckwagon Breakfast August 8 - Closing Ceremonies
Volunteers are needed for a great EXPERIENCE of a life time:
1. Housing Director to assist with placing international guests in host families throughout the community.
2. Assistant to the Director to assist Emma J. Dugal with final arrangements in coordinating the arrival of the international guests.
3. Guides who speak the language of one of the represented countries who can assist with translating and being available to be with the groups as they attend the various events that are planned.
4. Volunteers: We are looking for volunteers to help in all aspects of this event during the week of the festival.
5. Host Families: We are also looking for host families who can house, feed and transport dancers to and from their scheduled performances. This is a weeklong commitment from August 2rd until August 10th. Groups that will be performing this year include: China, Hungary, Mexico, Poland, Nepal, Romania, South Korea and Spain.
6. Sponsors: There are several sponsorship opportunities for businesses who want to support the event. About 10,000 people are expected to attend the festival. Contact: Aida 801 967 3127, or Bountiful/Davis Art Center at 292-0367 or visit our website at www.bdac.org
