My first semester at BYU there was this cute freshman who was in THREE of my classes. Guess it must have been fate. Lorri has stuck with me for 22 years, but said "enough" after the sixth child appeared on our doorstep. Yes, we all sing. Apparently not many other families our age that go caroling at Christmastime in four-part-harmony.
Lorri teaches piano lessons at home, and I work from home for USAA Bank doing IT stuff. That's about my ninth career since leaving school. And no, just like the proverbial cobbler's kids, I don't have a web page of my own.
I've served in just about every musical calling in every ward and stake I've been in. Once in awhile they let me do normal stuff. Currently HP secretary.
Several years ago (2008) I took my choir on a tour back over to the Old Country. We visited Bern, Zürich, and St. Gallen, singing concerts for the Saints. It was a joy to see that Burgdorf, for example, which was a tiny little Gemeinde, now is a ward with their own building, and has even provided the Stake President of the Bern Stake, and that the Waedenswil branch is also a ward with a building and a basketball hoop. |
