Ia ora na, There is a current project to raise $1350 dollars to make new plaques for the Pratt Monument in Mahu Tubuai. Tax deductable donations may be made to LDSPhilanthropies to fund the project. Background: In 1986 a monument to Addison and Louisa Pratt was erected in Mahu Tubuai. At that time Tahitian returned missionaries donated money to fund the project. There were a few errors in the wording that need to be corrected. Recently a proposal to correct the wording has been approved by local leaders, the area presidency, the church historical department and the returned missionary society. This proposal was presented at the recent missionary reunion April 1, 2011. See attached details. How to proceed?.
