You can find this survey at http://ldstw.info/new/index.php?act=forms&ID=15

Interest Survey

The Asia Area Presidency has approved a Celebration in 2006 to commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of the preaching of the gospel in Taiwan. The Celebration Steering Committee, headed by Elder Ho Yu-Chen, Area Seventy, has identified a tentative calendar and activities as described below. Please review the information below and respond to the survey items that follow. We must begin the process of matching returning missionaries with their convert members as soon as possible. We realize that a group has already made plans to be in Taiwan in early June before many of the Celebration events, and we would also like to connect people from that group with their convert members.

Description of Activities

Legacy Bicycle Relay—Relay teams composed of current missionaries, former missionaries and prospective missionaries will travel around the island and distribute 50,000 tracts. Members and returning missionaries not riding in the relay could follow it by train to attend local reunion meetings.
Member/Missionary Reunions in major cities—Returning missionaries will be asked to submit names of people they taught in order to connect members and former missionaries. The reunions will coincide with the Legacy Bicycle Relay and celebrate the anniversary on a local level. The tentative locations to hold these reunions may include: Hsin-Chu, Taichung, Tainan, Kaohsiung, Hualien. A general member/missionary reunion will also be held in Taichung.
Temple Sessions—Additional sessions will be scheduled at the Taiwan Temple.
Leader Appreciation Dinners—Dinners will be held in Kaoshiung, Taichung, and Taipei for current and former stake, district, and branch presidents and bishops.
Dedication Commemoration—An early morning program will be held on the hill in front of the Grand Hotel, the same location from which Elder Mark E. Peterson dedicated Taiwan for missionary work on June 1, 1959.
Fifty-Year History DVD—A record will be made that includes the progress of the Church in Taiwan as well as coverage of Celebration events. The DVD will be pre-sold at the Celebration events. Anyone has historical pictures, records, documents and files, may want to send in a copy to Elder and Sister Miner so we may have a better collection of information and better DVD presentation to all.
Youth Conference—Young people from all over Taiwan will gather in a fellowshipping, serving a mission and service-oriented conference.
Cultural Performance—A wonderful night of various forms of performance will highlight 50 years of the Church in Taiwan, the message of the Restoration, and Taiwan culture through the performing arts. These performances will be delivered in three different locations, Taipei, Taichung and Kaohsiung.
Stake and District Goals—Taiwan stakes and districts will be invited to reach these Celebration goals by July 2006.
50 members reactivated (25 per district)
50 members newly endowed (25 per district)
50 baptisms per stake in the month of August (25 per district)

Thank you for your interest and timely response. Please direct specific questions about the Celebration to Elder & Sister Edward G. Miner, e-mail minertaiwan@yahoo.com or regular mail, Taiwan Taipei Mission, #24, Lane 183, Chin-hua Street, Taipei 106, Taiwan ROC. We look forward to celebrating with you in 2006.
