It was wonderful to hear from Elder Fackrell as he was awaiting his departure from the Salt Lake City Airport. Elder Fackrell was so excited about all he had learned in the MTC. He bore testimony to the power of 100% obedience and also the help he has received from the Lord regarding his learning Mandarin. He feels fairly confident in his new language and said he and his companion, Elder Robison have been able to learn the first four lessons in Mandarin. It was great hearing Elder Fackrell recite the first vision in Mandarin. Even though their flight to Los Angeles was delayed due to their earthquake, the missionaries were able to get to California and make their connecting flight to Taiwan. I hope that Taiwan is "ready" for this group of fine missionaries and all of their enthusiasm. We look forward to that first report from Taiwan. |
