President G. Allen Young, an alumni of the Southern Far East Mission (see alumni list) and recently serving mission president of the Taiwan Kaohsiung Mission passed away on September 3, 2003 from cancer. He is survived by his wife, Sister Sharon Young, two daughters and a son. He served for two of the three years that he was called for and as his obituary (Deseret News 9/8/03)states, has now been "transferred . . . to a higher calling". We express our sympahies and love to his family.
